Without doubt foobar2000 is the best audio-player for Windows. Version 0.9 just came out.
It is totally free and won’t change audio-levels like a lot other players are doing. I call it a professional and very reliable player :)
Sometimes free means best, you remember?

Good. Very timely, as I had been having trouble getting my winamp to accept its flac plug-in. Now if I can figure out how to get Windows to recognize foobar2000 as the default, I’ll be home free. :).

I never liked Winamp. Foobar2000 is clean and very open for extra plugins etc. FLAC support is great too. Never noticed differences between DAW-apps and playback in Foobar2000.
